i have a number of nework cameras (cameras with their own built in web-server) and was wondering if it might be possible to display the live feeds via my xbox? the feeds can be easily accessed with any web browser.

the question is in what format the cameras show the videos.
if its one of the native online formats xbmc already supports (rm wmv qt mms) no problem... just make a shortcut.

if its some webpage with javascript or some java viewer app than its hard.

true !
no need of a python script ... just create a text file using a simple text editor. paste your webcam url inside, then save it as nameofthiscam..strm. upload it to your xbox, and launch it with your video section of xbmc

the url for the direct feed that can be played with xbmc. just put it in a *.strm file or use something like the great url paster script

does a normal webcam work to do this?
