Sorry it took me so long! Since I've never even seen the inside of an xml before I figured I should wait until I had vacation to even attempt it, but it actually only took a minute. Anyway I took a look at the ViewsvideoBigposter.xml file and just removed the two "Control.hasfocus" conditions from the visibility part of the following sections:

Keep in mind I know NOTHING beyond reading the skinning manual for two seconds, and if it wasn't for butchabay having accurate descriptions in the xml I wouldn't have stood a chance. Hopefully butchabay can maybe just point out if this method will break anything else. Minor issue, you have to hit up twice to get to the scroll bar if you want to go page by page (first up just does nothing at all now). Doesn't bother me, since I just use page up/down on my remote anyway. Here is a link to the modified file:

EDIT: Sorry, for those who are curious, this file will make it so the genre/info is always on in the Big Poster view.
EDIT2: Went ahead and did the info for TV show level on Rightlist and Rightlist Banner views. I personally prefer it this way, getting an overview of the show, as I have a boatload of shows I've never seen before. Note that this removes next aired, genre, first aired, and number of episodes though, since I personally don't care much about that stuff, and it would take me a few hours to figure out a decent way to squeeze it back in and still look nice. Here are the files and a screenshot of the change (with poster enabled, but it works with widethumbs or with neither option enabled as well):

This all works great on my end, but remember this is the first time I've done anything remotely like this so please backup your original files. If your computer explodes or starts the next zombie apocalypse, I apologize in advance.

It works as you say on my setup.
However it has now the genre/info always visible (no more need to press up to see it), then hiding the fanart.
I like to have the genre/plot hidden when browsing.
So I will stay with the default Butcha's view.
On my side I have planned to try something on Bigposterview too, when there will be a rainy week-end: try to enable Movie DVD art by copying the code from Fanart2 view, because I envy this function.
I am a noob in coding too so I don't know if it's possible, but as you said, Butcha organized well his code so maybe I will succeed (... maybe not!)

Oh, I misunderstood. You just want the extra click after checking info removed? I'll look into it but that's a little tougher. I'd need a better idea of what ID goes to what container and what each command does. I'll look too but if you figure it out first let me know!

You need a logo.png in your movie folder:
Use artwork downloader to get them.
I've had to manually load each one by going TV Show information --> Get artwork --> Logo.
I have it set it skin settings to automatically pull the logo, but it still doesn't. Any suggestions? I can't get a log file right now, but can post it when I get a chance.
I'm having a weird problem whereby the texture that should be behind menus and texts is transparent. I've tried a couple of Cirrus based skins and have the same issue. Other skins (Confluence, Neon, Rapier, Aeon Nox are all ok). The text is there (white) only I can barely see it as there's no texture behind it!
It's a major pain as I loved Cirrus Extended on my old XBMC box!
I'm using the latest SVN checkout on Openelec.
Any suggestions?

Strange.....the subject for the post did not show.....
Adding clean video libary as a menu item in [MOD] Cirrus Extended v2 was the subject and my question was regarding info on how to accomplish.

I think he means that he is looking for a way to "clean video library" on the home menu instead of going into system>video>clean video library. A short cut if you will. I Wonder if you could make it a keybind?

You can try doing following:
1. Take an item and add it to favourites (no matter what item) and name it Clean Library for example
2. Put that favourite to home (skin settings)
3. Open favourites.xml in your userdata folder and choose your last added favourite Clean Library and replace it with something like:

Give it a try as i don't know if it works.
