Hello,

I have the ATV2 4.3 JB with PwnageTool and Tivo installed.
Yesterday I installed the latest stable build (it seems to be 22/05) all went well.

The problem is when I want to view an MP4 file XBMC crashes, strange because the skin could 'read' it because it made the thumbnail of the file.

How can I see the version I have of XBMC?
Is it normal that mp4 are not played?

Thanks.
Check your log file and use a site like pastebin.com to post it here. See http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Log_File for more information
Here is the log:
http://pastebin.com/M7ktMitz

I pasted the file xbmc.old.log because xbmc.log was about the rebooted session (after the crash).

*EDIT*
Here is the log in debug mode just after the selection of the file:
http://pastebin.com/v79X0nQY

Is it enough?

update to nightlie builds, your log saying:

Quote:NOTICE: Starting XBMC, Platform: Mac OS X (11.0.0 AppleTV2,1). Built on Feb 19 2011 (Git:4b032be)

which is not compatible with 4.3 iOS
ok thank you for the explanation, but I tried yesterday and got a very strange thing after that.

The update process was ok, but once I was in XBMC it acted strangely, the menus were blinking rapidely. I couldn't not select one easily. It was like somebody was quickly pressing the arrows keys on my remote (strange to explain).

Is it a repported bug?
I deleted my keymap file but nothing changed.

How can I update to less buggy nightly build? I mean a "stable" nightly build.

there is only one way to use mkv(h264) on 4.3 and that is nightly build, look at the stickies for the how-to
ok, will try again.

Thanks.
I did an update with the latest nightly build and I didn't encounter the same troubles as yesterday.

The mp4 are now playing, youtube also.

Thanks for the noob problem Smile
