Hi there,

Be gentle...please....have tried to find out in this forum but to no avail....some of the posts are just massive.

Just trying to enable and work Jdownloader on my Apple Tv 1st Gen. It has XBMC, which works great, with Ice films in particular,,,,just cant work the Jdownloader,

Even managed to recently add the new default.py file, so not a real noob, but this is defeating me!

Help please.

First you need to have JDownloader installed in your system.
I'm using Linux Mint, or in other words XBMC/Linux. I don't know if this will work for ATV, but you can give it a try. Just follow directions (sounds like you can)
I'm not the smartest guy in the world but this worked for me. The difficult part was finding the information.

If you get it installed, updated and working, make sure you go into JDownloader/settings/extensions/ and enable JD Remote Control or it won't work in IceFilms.

Im in the same boat . There doesnt seem to be a sticky around about how to actually use it . Any help people please as its a mystery

I'm not sure, if you can run jdownloader on an apple tv. You could try to download an dmg from http://jdownloader.org/download/index and install this.

In my opinion, the advice from "Driver 944" won't be very helpful, since even a jailbreaked atv is running iOS and not linux.

It will definitly work on a macbook (mac os x), just download the dmg from the site I posted above.

It should also work with an atv1, if you manage to install mac os x on it, as described in this thread

But maybe there is an easier way, to accomplish it.
