I just ripped a few of my kid's Barbie movies to a Video_TS folder using AnyDVD, then DVD Shrink to reauthor to only the main title. Since this is a 1:1 I would have expected it to look like the DVD does, however it's almost as though I need to turn on deinterlace or decomb like in HB. Am I doing something wrong?

You maybe doing something wrong in DVD shrink as it can also produce non 1:1 copies.

If it looks like it needs de-interlacing then try turning the de-interlacer on:
