Is there anything within XBMC or some integrated/addon solution that can notify me of new TV episodes?

For example watching a new tv series... at episode 4, and episode 5 is next wed. Any way to automatically tell me/remind me about it or anything?

There's the "TV Next Aired" Addon which should do the trick, and there's a TV guide build into the "Simplicity" skin, which will probably find it's way to other skins soon and is perfect for finding out which shows will be aired in the coming 7 days.
