NitoTV installed a "pre 11" version. I have however problems with this built. I constantly have "connection problems" and cannot use xTV.
Solution is to downgrade.
I found 10.0.8 for the aTV from a site (mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/atv). But when I do "install /Volumes/root/var/mobile/Updates/org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2_10.0-8_iphoneos-arm.deb" then it wants to know the destination diretory.
What is the correct way to do this?

using NitoTV I deleted the pre 11 but after doing the dpkg the resulting Xbmc keeps on telling me it is a Pre 11 version.
I think they are all pre 11, everything that is not Dharma is pre 11... try 10.0-7

there is no 1.x, 2.x, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, 7.x, 8.x, 9.x, 10.x for ios, not sure what you are on about

Ok my problem I a that im on 4.1.1 and Ijailbroke my atv2 feom untethered to tether so now I cant ssh into.atv2. I went from xbmc 10.0.7 to 10.0.9 and now xbmc freezes when going into skin. How can I downgrade with ssh into box. Do I have to update ios and then rejailbrake amd install xbmc all over again?

upgrading or having a tethered or untethered jailbreak should have no impact on if you can SSH or not.
However, there are untethered jailbreaks available for the latest version of iOS for ATV2. I have no idea what's going on in your set up, but I would just say screw it and redo your jailbreak so you can be untethered. You're going to want to eventually, so might as well get it over.
Plus, if you really can't SSH then that's about all you can do at this point, but something doesn't seem right about that. Unless you actually uninstalled SSH you should still be able to SSH.

I have it untethered using greenpois0n (mistake on my original post). the problem is that there was a bug when jailbreaking initially with greenpois0n and ssh. I reinstalled xbmc and it updated to the 10.0.9 version and all is well now. doesnt freeze anymore and I didnt have to update my ios. All is good. thanks for the reply.
