Full Version: mp4 playback issue

I've a lot of mp4 videos that i encoded a while back to play on my ipad. Problem is XBMC cant play them, they stutter like crazy. Although it's not the case with all of them, only most. From what i can tell, it must have something to do with 'AVC baseline'

Here is a mediainfo example of one that doesn't work...

If you want to put an example mp4 somewhere I can download and test it I'd be happy to take a look.

Your best bet would be to take one of the problematic mp4s and recode it with Handbrake or something similar to see if that makes a difference.

Later: I've just seen http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=104677 and this looks similar to your problem.

probably you have no HW acceleration decoding enabled or the libs required installed, a little more information about video cards and general hw would be nice.
