I'm using a sis chipset based 5.1 onboard audio,
XBMC says output is set to 5.1 but set to default (sis chipset not listed)
alsa says all channels are @ 75% but I have an issue.
I can't get the subwoofer or the rear audio to work but all 3 forward channels work.
Can anyone help?
(I've forgotten how to do command line configurations)
Need more info: how have you connected your speakers? To a receiver? If so, using a digital connection? If so, S/PDIF or HDMI? What does XBMC say it's outputting? What does your receiver, if any, say the input signal is? Does a regular speaker test work?

Sorry, just realised i forgot to add that (stupid noobish thing)
Hardware wise I'm using the Mainboards 3 jacks (supposedly) set to 5.1 output (just realised I need to check the bios) to and subwoofer containing the splitter circuits (3input jacks to mirror the pc)
Not idea but I can't afford a proper reciever atm.
XBMC System>audio is set to 5.1 output
Device = default (sis card not reported)
Alsamixer = sis card.

Edit: Nope no bios setting. Pulled 2 channels and all speakers work in (pesiduo surround) but only 2 work when all leads are connected.
