I have installed XBMC on my mac.

my problem is when i'm trying to add custom item to home menu.

When i try "set favorite" i get the error "Can Not find favourites.xml"

Ive tryed several skins, but same error.

is it possible that there is somebody out there who can help me?

Have you added anything to you favourite?

You can also check your favourites are there:
Library--->Application Support ---> XBMC ---> Userdata ---> Favourites.xml

No i haven't added anything.

Where to do so?

i've checked. there is no favourites.xml

navigate to the option that you want to add to favourites then press c and add to favourites.

E.g.

If I wanted to add youtube to my favourites then i would go
Video--->Files--->Video add-ons then when over youtube oress c and add to favourites.
