Is there a way to somehow read out information about the current active section/window (window ID)?

I want to be able to setup the Apple Aluminum Remote via Remote Buddy to (for instance) have the UP/DOWN buttons control the volume of my AV Receiver when in fullscreenvideo (WINDOW_FULLSCREEN_VIDEO).

The author of Remote Buddy said, that it could be possible with a script, if he was able to get info about the active window...

Thanks!
you can set debugging="true" in the addon.xml file of the skin you're using.

it'll display the name of the active window onscreen....if that's what you're looking for.

Well, thanks but i guess no...

He would need some sort of API to retrieve the current status/window/section through other programs whereby a script could trigger various functions.

Is that understandable? Sorry for my english.
Use the web api (json-rpc).
