Hi everyone,

I'm considering buying a fusion e-350 mobo. AMD's drivers (11.6) appear to be stable enough for VAAPI playback on Ubuntu. Does VAAPI playback work on tvheadend with the XBMC-pvr build?

I've tried crystalhd and no success. Only VDPAU seems to work with xbmc-pvr with tvheadend.
For E-350 VAAPI works only with h264 and VC-1 content.

The latest git of xbmc+tvheadend:

But I'm guessing the CPU handles SD (MPEG) content fine?
thanks javum. my mobo is on order and should arrive here next week.

Yes. For software decoding of SD (MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 ASP) E-350 is quite enough.

Thanks for that. The E-350 looks like the best option for me since it is looking like the cheapest, most powerful low power mATX system available.
What is VC-1 content?

VC-1 is a MS-developed video codec widely used in Blu-ray disks.
