the problem is that doesnt see nvidia hdmi audio video works fine
you need to update your alsa

try

Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install linux-alsa-driver-modules-$(uname -r)

sudo apt-get install linux-headers

then install latest nvidia

Code:
cd /usr/src
sudo wget ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/275.09.07/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-275.09.07.run

sudo chmod +x NVIDIA-Linux-x86-275.09.07.run
sudo ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-275.09.07.run

then alsa mixer to unmute
much appreciated it your help....i am stuck here

sudo apt-get install linux-headers
You should explicitly select one to install.
E: Package linux-headers has no installation candidate
maybe you need to reboot then sudo apt-get update again after installing alsa.
the same:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers
You should explicitly select one to install.
E: Package linux-headers has no installation candidate
after reboot i think there is some improvement
