I've finally decided to buckle down and tackle the issue of suspend/resume, and when I went to ssh in and start toying, I suddenly realized I can't log in.
I assume I just forgot the password to the user, since I haven't logged into the user in quite a while.
So I use a live install on a usb stick to get into recovery and reset the password, following these basic directions: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/resetpassword
All went well, until I typed the command to reset the password. it said the username didn't exist. I checked /home, and found that the user didn't have a home folder. I saw that /home/xbmc existed, so I figured I have been using that user instead, and tried resetting the password for xbmc. It also doesn't exist in /etc/passwd.
So... any suggestions on what is going on here? Do I really have a user called htpc? Or even xbmc?
When I restarted, XBMC (live) is working fine still... :\
