I have set up port forwarding and given the app the port of 8989 and everything is importing. I have no firewall on this machine (for the moment) but I keep getting multiple errors on the phone.

1. I/O Exception (java.net.SocketException) - Connection Reset by Peer
2. Socket Timeout - Make sure that XBMC webserver is enabled and is running

Anyone got any ideas for me?

On a side note, when I view TV some of them show as banners and they look awesome, but some show as posters. Is there any way to make them all banners?

Also is there a way to connect via LAN when available?
I don't want two copies of everything just the one that will switch to WIFI when available.

Did you forward both ports? The remote is communicating with two protocols, the EventServer protocol via UDP and the HTTAPI/JSON-RPC via TCP. See also FAQ question #2.
