This is very reproducible.
If you enable dirty regions Both 1 and 2, enable karaoke add karaoke source, when you navigate to folder and select a track it only plays sound and xbmc freezes/stops responding yet track keeps palying and unresponsive to any remote or keyboard presses.
Backround doesnt change its the guitar thing in confluence.
I would post a debug log but its really not necessary (but I will bcause its how it should be) Im in XBMCLive with compiled vesion of git in Asrock ION 330 HT.
