Im looking to build a HTPC to run XBMC to play back my libary of movies and tvshows most of which is either 720p HD or 1080pHD. I have read eskros build forum and found it quite helpful in getting started on choosing my components etc. Im basically just looking for conformation if the parts i have choosen are compatible and can do everything i need. they are:

.cpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6819116399

.mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813130588

.psu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6817139026

.ram http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduc...=MY-183-OC

.gpu http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduc...=GX-259-AS

.case http://www.scan.co.uk/products/silversto...atx-psu%29

i will also be adding a 2tb WD HD which i already have along with a wireless keyboard/mouse and wireless adapter.

Is there any part of the build you would change or is there anything i need to add like fans etc. thanks in advance for any replies
Looks like a good build to me Nod
I think you will enjoy a small(ish) SSD for your system drive. IMO they are well worth it! Once you get one you don't know how you did without it!
Nod
what about OS could i put it together then just use some kind of linux on there to try before i buy windows 7 cause that adds £80 so roughly $130 to my build price straight away. Also it hard to get linux set up etc for someone who has never used it remember my main use for this will be XBMC.
yep, good build, SSD needs to be 30GB at least to house windows
Im wondering would if it would make more sense to go for an i3 2100 processor instead of the g620 as it comes in a £90 where as the g620 is £55 i also know it would mean spending more money on a matching mobo for the i3 but would the performance difference be worth it.
if you want to go Linux then you will want to switch video cards to Nvidia. I built mine at first to use Linux to save the $ but later decided that Win7 was well worth the cost for me not having to learn a new OS, everything works with Windows, easy networking, etc.
For someone already versed in Linux that may be a different story.
Alternately, you have the XBMC Live version(s) as options too. This will give you an XBMC ONLY however.

The 620 is just fine for XBMC. There is no reason to spend more for the i3. I do not regret it and I HATE slow computers. The money is better spent, and utilized, on an SSD and/or for Win7 if you choose to go with Windows.
the G620 is perfect!
