Hey everyone, newbie here!
I wanted to ask for some advice on an HTPC. I'm looking at getting an HTPC to upgrade from the seagate theater+ i've been using. Been looking at the zino, the top end one with quad-core processor and blu-ray player, 6 gig ram.
I want to be able play my dvd isos and various 1080p mkvs, also i would like the unit to be able to play blu-rays, so i wouldn't need a separate player. No really extreme specs, no 3d, no massive HD audio, no streaming stuff from internet. I don't plan on encoding my Blu-rays to the drives anytime soon. Just want a system to play my dvd isos (about 2000ish not all in isos yet) and some mkvs.
So would the zino cut it?
Also I would prefer an out-of-the-box system, not comfortable doing much beyond replacing a drive or ram in a computer.
Any recommendations for an out-of-the-box NAS system? Using external HDDs right now, but want to upgrade at some point.
Thanks in advance for the advice!
