Running 8 Aug nightly on ATV2 on 4.2.2 and got a wierd one.
Created a playlist of short videos for the kids and at the end of the 2nd one it stops/crashes back to the home screen rather than either continuing or going to the directory it was in (if you play it manually).
Is this a known bug or should I get the logs etc to add the bug list? I did some searching and couldn't find a hit.

Sounds like you should post your logs. There was a thread I was reading in here about someone else having problem with playlists.
Ok great. Will do tomorrow as it's repeatable.

Platform - Apple TV 2
Version - iOS 4.3 build 8F305 /w Apple TV software 4.2.2
XBMC - Built on Aug 8 2011 (Git:20110808-6b994c5)
Install - dpkg (as per the nightly FAQ). First update after fresh NitoTV install of 10.0-9

Symptom is at end of a particular video (Smurfs S1E02 - Jokey's something (it plays to the end) XBMC crashes and restarts. In the log I skipped (big jump/step) until 45 seconds from the end. You can play all the way through and it still crashes XBMC. I couldn't watch all the way through again.
I haven't loaded the media up, but can if need be.

Played the media on the PC and it's fine. On ATV2 it's crashes just before the end of the clip (3 seconds or so). This is consistent on both ATV2s. Will test on PC XBMC tonight.

Ok tested on PC Version - Dharma release and no crash. Plays to the end fine.

Of note, it appears all the episodes in that torrent cause the crash. Well all the ones my daughter tried (i.e. most of the them). I reencoded to h.264 (need to test) to hopefully to avoid complaints.
