Hello,

I am sure there are many threads about choppy video but they seem somewhat unrelated or unhelpful. I am new to this forum so I will try my best to provide the best info I can.

I bought a new 46" LED tv 120hz which is why im noticing now the choppyness. It may have been there before or maybe because my last TV was 60hz and 720P I never noticed.

I would like to thank everyones help in advance!

I will link what *i* think is relevant to the skipping movie but let me know if you need more info.

if you haven't install the latest amd control panel center, you can download it from here- Graphics Drivers & Software and adjust sreen resolution in ati catalyst control panel to fit your hdtv afterward. withing catalyst control panel, set video settings to "video playback in control center and set it to enforce smooth video playback".

do these in xbmc: system>settings>video>playback (select allow hardware acceleration (dxva2), adjust display refresh rate to match video and sync playback to display) and system>settings>system>video output (select full screen for display mode, select same resolution as adjusted in graphic card control center and enable "use a fullscreen window rather than true fullscreen").

make sure that you properly calibrate your screen in xbmc settings>system>video output>calibration
Hello,
Thank you for your response. If there is an admin please refer to

I made this post to specify windows thinking I could delete it. If you (admin) could merge these threads that would be great. Sorry for the hassle!

I have done everything above you stated already.

Thanks

make sure you setup video playback as suggested in post #4. i haven't touch on audio settings, and wrong audio settings can contribute to playback flaws. i'm assuming you connects your htpc to hdtv via hdmi. make sure that you do these in xbmc- system>settings>audio output>audio output (select hdmi)>audio output device wasapi: amd hdmi.......
