Hi all!

I always makes guides for my self when I get things working as I want. So I thought I could share it as well.

So here is how I got my new (and first) HTPC with a Asus E35M1-I DELUXE Mother Board running perfect with XBMC.

1. In Catalyst Control Center: Video Settings -> Video Playback: Set to "Enforce Smooth Video Playback".

2. In XBMC: System -> Settings -> Video -> Playback:
"Select allow hardware acceleration (DXVA2)"
"sync playback to display" (leave the options that becomes available at the default values).

Next step was the main reason how I solved the stutter problem I had.
It seems that if you do not disable the HDMI sound devices if you're not using
them, it will make XBMC stutter some.

3. In Windows, Right click on speaker icon in system tray and select "playback devices".
Disconnect all HDMI devices you are not using (leaving them inactivated is not enough, you must deactivate them).
I use Realtek Digital Output(Optical), so I left this one active.

4. In audio in XBMC, do these: System -> Settings -> System -> Audio Output (Select DirectSound: Primary Device).

Most of the things in this guide is tips I got from browsing the forum, but some I figured out for my self Smile

Be Well!
