I have been trying to change my Splash screen and found various threads on how to do it. Basically you go into /usr/share/xbmc/media and change the Splash.png

I've done this but my splash screen does not change - is this not possible in Dharma? or do I have to be running a GIT version of XBMC?

try it and see what happens.

I tried it an it works. You can put the splashscreen in your special://home/media folder or replace the one in the special:://xbmc/media
The filename has to be splash.png even if its a jpeg.
