Hello everyone,

I'm running XBMC on OpenSUSE 11.4 on an AMD Fusion E350 based machine. Video playback is working fine unless I play a 1080p MKV file. In this case XBMC is either freezing completely or I only get garbled / green output. Sound is playing fine. Hitting "o" during playback tells me "dc:ff-vc1-vaapi" so I assume VAAPI is running correctly.

I found one movie that is playing correctly, but only the first time. If I stop the movie and start it again I get the same results as mentioned above. In the log fine I see one error: "ERROR: Decode - avcodec_decode_video returned failure".

Software versions:
OpenSUSE 11.4
Kernel 3.0.4-43-desktop (Tumbleweed)
KDE 4.6.5 (Tumbleweed)
AMD/ATI driver 11-8-x86.x86_64 / SUSE114-8.881-1.x86_64
XBMC xbmc-10.1-1.pm.4.11.x86_64 (from Packman repository)

XBMC log: http://pastebin.com/WYWwPV9n

For installation XBMC requires libavcodec52-0.7.4. Could it be that this version of ffmpeg is too old to run with VAAPI? libavcodec53-0.8.3 is also available.

Thanks for your help
