This is a new behavior that hasn't happened before. How can I make XBMC keep watched episodes visible in the library?

I remember making a change a few months ago so they library did not show empty directories, but watched episodes were always there.

Maybe you have activated: show only unwatched.
Should be a setting somewhere in the skinmenu in tvshow library

Some skins allow locking certain settings (kiosk mode)
