Hiya all,

I'm running XBMC now for over 2 years, reinstalled it a few times, did run it on Windows and Linux (ubuntu). As currently running on ubuntu, which boots much faster then Win7...

Anyways.. a while ago i bought a MCE IR receiver on Ebay. Was looking for this one in particular as it seems to work well on XBMC on both windows and linux.

On windows 7 this one is working great, also with my harmony. But it is not a genuine HP MCE device. On windows it finds it as "eHome Transreceiver" but im unable to get a response on lirc.

Can anyone help me on solving this issue? I would like to be able to remote my machine using my harmony again instead of using my iphone.

thanks in advance.
Is it recognized by your system ?
Do you see it in the logs want you plug it?
When i run an lsusb, the device is shown as ID 1934:5168 but no name/brand/type information is displayed.

edit:
i was just curios and googled the ID of the usb device. this transfered me to this topic:
