Full Version: de-interlace setting confusion

Hello,
I have found that I need to use de-interlacing with some of my son's children's videos as they seem to be of lower quality that were made for TV....my question though is, instead of having to go through the hassle of setting de-interlace for each video that needs it, does it hurt anything to just have the default for all videos to be set to "auto" for de-interlacing? I don't want it to mess up videos that don't need it, so that's why I was curious. Thanks for the help!
You can use the auto setting, it automatically turns on the bob deinterlacer when has video is flagged as interlaced.

Some interlaced videos are not correctly flagged as interlaced, so in that case the auto setting won't work.
