Hi!
I have an issue with playing back 3D videos. I have a couple of 3D videos. All are side by side videos. My TV can handle them and if i want to watch them in 3D thats no problem (besides the fact, that the menus are very hard to use. But this is another thread here somewhere).
My TV is also able to convert this 3D movie into a 2D movie. It then only shows the left side. Thats a bit complicated, but it would not bother me if my TV wouldn't loose so much brightness AND resolution in 3D and in 3D2D conversion.
My idea was why couldn't XBMC just cut the video in the middle and stretch it over the full size. So I can enjoy the video in 2D with my friends (as I have more friends then 3D glasses) without the terrible brightness/resolution loss.
As a benefit the menus would be still working.
So is there already a way (patch/add-on/...) or would this qualify for a neat feature request?
