Full Version: MCE remote with Windows - volume buttons not working!

I have just booted a fresh Windows 7 installation and added XBMC.

My MCE remote which worked perfectly out of the box previously with XBMC Live now does not work properly.

Only directional navigation buttons seem to work. Many essential buttons do not.

Most significantly, is the volume buttons.

How do I get these to work please?
You have to modify your keyboard.xml-file...

The ShowKey-App from this site will help you figure out the correct buttons:

Isn't there a config file from the XBMC Live build which I could just copy across?
What remote are you using? If it's an eHome remote (see http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Usi...in_Windows) then use the MCERemote add-on to configure the remote.

No, that is not possible since the drivers used for the remote differ from each other.

The eHome regedit installation worked perfectly for me - thank you! Big Grin

However, the buttons now function quite differently to how this same remote operated by default in XBMC Live.
