I am trying to recycle an EEE PC 901 into a multimedia player running under XBMC Live.
When plugged into my LCD TV I have problems to get the correct resolution settings, so that I have looked for solutions based on editing xorg.conf.
I was able to create a fresh new xorg.conf file in /etc/X11 (there was none out of the box), but whatever I do inside XBMC does not seem to take it into account. In particular the resolution settings that are available under SYSTEM/VIDEO OUTPUT remain the same as before.
