I am getting constant buffering on HD content form my WHS to mac mini. Now I don't get this from other sources such as Local, Time Capsule or synology server.

Any one got any ideas on why this might be. Losing the plot! Thanks

Gigabit wired network throughout - checked on each device - And less than 1% Network Utilisation showing in task manager.

Windows Home Server : Tranquil PC Squ-5h : WHS V1

Client : Mac Mini 2010

I am having the same issue. I am running the lastest nightly on 10.7.2. Network performance is great on the machine. Outside of XMBC I can download a 1GB mkv from a SMB share in less than 1 minute.

When I try to use the same SMB share from XBMC I am getting buffering. Sometimes it will go for 20 minutes without buffering. Other times it will buffer every few minutes.

In all of my testing it sure looks like an XBMC issue.
