Hi!
Is there any tweak to cut down long buffertimes with big music collections?
Ive tried changed skinns, views etc and I guess its not a hw problem either.
Please help!
My rigg:
Asus E35M1-I Deluxe
8 gig ram
Ssd disk
Win 7 Ultimate/ Xbmc Dcharma 10.1
Hp Vault x311 Nas (Got my Collection here)
Gigab Router.
Anyone with some thoughts about cuttingdown buffer times??
Plz
Can you post a debug log so we can see where the bottleneck is. Enable debug logging from System settings, System, Debugging, and restart XBMC then wait a minute or two for all the startup tasks to finish. Start playing a video that gives you the long pause, then stop the movie and close XBMC.
Open the debug log by pressing Windows-R and in the Run dialog type:
"%appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log"
(including the quotes). Click OK and the log should open in Notepad. Copy and paste the log into
http://pastebin.com/ and post the link it gives you here.

Thanks for quick a reply
Sorry i was not clear enough, my long buffer issues is only precence during loading skraped covers to show up in for exampel wall view etc (artist/album)...Do you still want me to look into log as u mentioned?
Thanks!
Ah, no, a log probably wouldn't be much use.
There has been a bit of discussion recently about display of images. I must admit this isn't an area of the code I know, but possibly it's related to enabling DDS?
