I have a shuttle PC that I am installing XBMC live on. I opted to use the Microsoft MCE remote since the wiki said it worked "out of the box". I enabled the remote in XBMC, but it is not responding to the remote.

I read through other forums and reconfigured LIRC, but still nothing. I am very new to linux commands but have no issue copy / pasting in the command line. Is there something that I am missing?

Also, I have tried the remote on my windows PC and it works fine.

One thing I did notice was while connected to windows the red light on the receiver only lights up when I press a key on the remote control. However, when while connected the the XBMC Live PC, the red light comes on and remains lit when I press a button. It will remain lit for a couple minutes.

Not sure if that is relevant, but I hope it can help solve my problem.
