Full Version: API for adding ListItem to video library?

I feel like a complete n00b...

In one of my addon's I have all needed movie information added to my ListItems (media path, thumd etc etc). Is there a API for just adding this ListItem to the video library?

If not, what is the reason and what other options do I have?
