Version 2.0.11 will work on android (arm only for now) and should be updated in the repo in a couple of days ...
I need some help, I have always wanted to do something like this but havent had the time.

My current setup is Sharp 60" with XBMC running on WIN 8.1 but have a QNAP NAS using a limited version of Linux but hosts MySQL and all my media. All of my other XBMC installs share this data but I do not have any Linux hosts.

I read about installing Raspbmc to a NSF folder share but wasnt sure if that is what I needed to run the boblight server to be able to use Add-On.

So before I got too far ahead of myself I figured I would ask for some suggestions knowing my current seutp.

After doing some more google'n I found posts that boblight now works on windows ? for example: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=151559
Ok well I havent received a reply yet but this is what I am looking at buying right now.

Audrino Uno
5M of WS2812B (not sure if the plastic waterproof is required)
5v Power Supply
3M Sticky Tape

Am I missing something here ?

should I load the Audrino with FastLED or NEOPixel ?

Are there limitations to how many LED's I can have using certain software ? I am considring Boblight and Prismatic

Hi,
Is there a 3D (HSBS or HTAB) support with Boblight ?
Because when I watch a movie, if I use HSBS, boblight will adapt colors from full screen instead of left or right side, so it will be wrong ?
Thanks !
No 3d support for boblight atm ...
Thanks ! Do you think it could be possible in the future ? Is it in your to-do list ?
Not in my todo list as it has to be changed in rendercapture which is not my area of code. The one who did the 3d rendering would need to adapt it but he is MIA.
Thanks ! Do you know who is it ?
Yes of course - but elupus is not active anymore atm.
Hi and thanks for your work !

I am considering buying a Lightberry pack and use it with a RPI and an Android 4.4 rooted TV Box chipset Amlogic S802. I would like to use XBMC with Boblight addon on the Android TV Box instead of the RPI, however the Boblight server would still be runing on the Raspbery Pi which would be connected to the Lightberry pack. I tried to install the XBMC Addon on the Android device but I have an error message saying that a file couldn't be copied. Is that the libboblight.so for Android that it tries to download ? Can I do it manually ?

Thanks for your attention.

Like this ? http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=375214

Whener I start XBMC I can view very briefly "Error downloading..." but I can't see what's next. No such errors on the logs. But there do is something :

23:36:51 T:1840362928 DEBUG: ### [XBMC Boblight] - [XBMC Boblight] - Version: 2.0.12 Started

Isn't it strange that it talks about 2.0.12 version ?
Ok thanks, I hope he will be back and he could adapt this !

Another question link to last post : is it possible to use a RPi for Ambilight and connect it to a PC ? So I could use it with my Windows HTPC.

Its fine that it says 2.0.12 - we had an issue with the repo when i did a pull request so the repo maintainer had to increase the version for make it available.

Download: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/build-deps/addon-...ght.so.zip

Extract it and get it somehow to /data/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/libboblight.so - do you use XBMC by any chance? Might be i have a bit much assumptions about running kodi here in that code ...
Thanks I'll try this at home soon. I'm not sure right now but I think it's a XBMC I had get directly from the box firmware ROM. I could try a "Kodi" one if you points which one to take on the Play store or other way of install it.
