Can anyone help me understand why my config doesn't work. I had boblight working great in windows with an arduino uno setup and a 50 light config.
I then moved to openelec and installed the boblight daemon and addon. With the sample config half of my lights come on. I changed the channels in the example conf to 150 from 75, and also the prefix to 41 64 61 00 31 64 to match what I had in my working windows config. This still worked with half the lights, so I then turned my attention to the [light] settings...
This is what I have put in from my windows .conf file - but with this boblightd doesn't start properly and the addon cant connect to it. The working config from the example is underneath. I assume that openelec doesn't like the vscan or hscan values that my windows conf used - can anyone help me understand that I need to do to fix?

What is the error message when boblightd fails to start?

I just had to find out, that XBMC Boblight installs just fine when using Kodi. I was using Gotham before (didn't mention it), since I always prefer eyecandy and the NEON skin just delivered that but Titan Mediabrowser Skin is also awesome. So Kodi on FireTV with XBMC Boblight Plugin just works fine.
I've managed to get boblight working on my RPi2 with openelec and everything is fine except when the colour yellow is displayed I get a red from the LEDs - does anyone have any advice on how to solve this, or how to change my conf file? Here is the important part of my conf file.

Definitely not some rgbyw leds! However I added this to see if additional definitions would help (that was some of the ideas I came across when looking on the internet). Without the Y/W definitions I still get red when there is yellow on screen - any other ideas on how to change that?

well i think that red should be ff0000, green should be 00ff00 and blue should be 0000ff its called RGB afterall not RBG beside that i would say that file looks ok. I have no experience with lightpack - so not much of a help i think.

You need to select the "custom" preset for beeing able to specify custom options. *facepalm*
