Previously I had a LG 50PS80 plasma connected that had no overscan issues, but when I changed my TVs the overscanning occurred. I played with overscan compensation in XBMC which worked BUT when I play any video that is 24Hz, the overscanning occurs again. In 60Hz there is no problem so I've had to set XBMC to not play in 24Hz. Any ideas much appreciated.
if you have ATI Gfx you must configure overscanning for each individual refresh rate in CCC (or globally with aticonfig), dunno about nvidia, might be similar.
XBMC Live, and ion.
One thing you can try is to go into the video settings screen and change the refresh rate then adjust overscan again. Repeat for each refresh and resolution you want to use. Once you have done that, reset it to the desired resolution and refresh and try your 24Hz video then and see what happens.
