@bossanova808

I dug around a bit and found this within my kodi log:

19:19:02.168 T:1444172704   DEBUG: ### Oz Weather - 0.9.7 ### Set property name: [Today.Sunset] - value:[19:26 WST]
19:19:02.168 T:1444172704   DEBUG: ### Oz Weather - 0.9.7 ### Set property name: [Today.moonphase] - value:[Waxing Crescent]
19:19:02.168 T:1444172704   DEBUG: ### Oz Weather - 0.9.7 ### Get the ABC weather video link
19:19:02.854 T:1444172704   DEBUG: ("Couldn't get ABC video URL from page", IndexError('list index out of range',))

19:19:02.854 T:1444172704   DEBUG: ### Oz Weather - 0.9.7 ### Set property name: [Weather.IsFetched] - value:[true]
19:19:02.855 T:1444172704   DEBUG: ### Oz Weather - 0.9.7 ### Set property name: [Forecast.Updated] - value:[12/01/2019 19:19]

I presume this error stems from this part of the MyWeather.xml file. I am wondering whether the 'ABC Weather in 90 secs' link is pointing to a URL which has been changed on the ABC website, but I'm unsure how to find that.

It would be great if you could fix the ABC Weather issue as I too am getting the same errors in the kodi log.
Change whatever you like for your install...that's kinda the point!  I prefer to see the full time display without any cut off scrolling, personally.

Re blade menu - it (the menu itself) is there for me?

Although the ABC stuff itself is missing, presume that is what you mean.  I would guess ABC have changed something so the scraping is not working...I'll fix that when I do the Leia work as well.
I'll try and get to the various fixes this week folks...

Fantastic, cannot wait.

The ABC url fix is very simple (they have moved to https on akami it seems) - committed an update here, but I won't bother with the whole release malarkey till I do the rest.  But if you are eager you probably just need to overwrite addon_folder/resources/lib/abcvideo.py with this file: https://github.com/bossanova808/weather....bcvideo.py
Ok mostly there I think.

This is what I have done (n.b. tested only on Windows so far):

* Installed fresh Leia RC5
* Installed OzWeather 0.9.7 from repo
* Installed updted abcvideo.py as per above (https://github.com/bossanova808/weather....bcvideo.py) plus updated bom.py (https://github.com/bossanova808/weather....lib/bom.py)
* Configured postcode 3032 and radar IDR023, ABC weather at high quality
* Enabled extended features etc

* Tested with default Estuary
   - All working ok - 5 and 7 day forecast both ok

* Updated Estuary skin files using: https://github.com/bossanova808/reposito...older).zip
* Tested (Estuary + Skin files)
  - Forecast info all ok, map/info on seek ok
  - Issues - radar backgrounds not working so well
  - Fixed - urrlib in pyhton 2.7 has a bug with ftp-ing multiple files -> fixed bom.py
  - All now working / looking as expected with Estuary

* Tested with Confluence + Extended Skin Files (https://github.com/bossanova808/reposito...0720p).zip)
 - All working as expected

What I now need help with:

I won't have Leia working on other platforms like LibreElec (or OpenElec etc) or Android etc. for a bit, most likely.  So please test on other platforms and if you're see any oddness or bugs - please supply *full debug logs* and/or screenshots.  And if you're not seeing issues, please let me know that as well.

Before testing make sure you manually install these two updated files in your addon_folder/resources/lib/ :
https://github.com/bossanova808/weather....bcvideo.py
https://github.com/bossanova808/weather....lib/bom.py

..and that you're using the latest skin files as linked above (links in wiki updated where necessary).
@Thomfam @stevieland58 @Obiwobi66 @gmpanazzolo @gregeeh

Am paying attention again so happy to help with your issues if I can.  See post above for details - if you are seeing issues, I need: confirmation you're using latest files and skin files, what settings for postcode/radar you're using, and full debug logs, and screenshots if relevant.

Once I have some confirmation things are working on xxxElec as well, I'll do a proper release with the updates.
Working on CoreELEC 8.95.7 and using just the MyWeather.xml file on my TX92 (S912) box. Leia 18.0-RC4, Estuary skin.

The only small issue is the ABC Weather video is rather poor quality for some reason.  Don't know if it was like this previoiusly, as I could never get the button to appear.
@gregeeh Thanks - good to know.  What quality for the video did you set in the settings?  But yes, as I recall, even at best it isn't awesome...heavily compressed 720P IIRC.

 Left it at the default.  What's the best setting?

This may stun you - 'best' will choose the best available.  But that's the same as you get with 1000k I think.  Their labelling is stupid.

It's a free info service, though - can't complain too much but in this world of 4k OLED miracle TVs, seems a bit shit for sure...
Have submitted an upstream PR to get these changes out...
Is there anyway to improve the quality of the Radar?  Background especially is not that great.
Nope, it's just what the BOM provides.  Perhaps if you have a commercial license with them you get better, but for free data this is it really - ftp://ftp.bom.gov.au//anon/gen/radar_transparencies/
