Ok the updates have been accepted. This fixes all the issues I know enough about to solve (notably it should fix some periodic oddness with radar background stuff being incomplete, and restore the ABC weather videos).
If anyone needs help with anything else, please ask - and provide settings and debug logs please!
I've manually added to 2 files to fix Oz Weather and it's working fine. However I've noticed the following in the log file and wondering if this is normal. Here are some of the messages:

Kodi Version is 18.0-RC4, note the log is saying a different version.

That is as expected. Until V18 is actually released, the version number is held at 17.9 (but note it says 'L*' meaning it knows the code base is Leia, i.e. V18). Below 17.9 is Krypton.
So logging every 30 mins is also normal? Seems to be stopping and starting...
Yes - how do you think it updates the weather
(the addon is called by Kodi system every 30 mins for an updated scrape).
If you have debug logging turned on, you'll see a lot more info that makes what it is doing clearer.
The logging has changed a bit lately, it used to log everything by default but the Kodi devs have tried to limit log spam (fair enough, really!) - but I haven't per se adapted the addon fully to the new system to make it make a little more sense. Will get tot hat sometime, if I have time.

Firstly, hi all, and thanks to bossanova808 for is amazing work on Ozweather.
I've just done a completely fresh v18 release install using estuary (Win8.1x64) and Myweather.xml is working very well, however when I put on DialogSeekBar.xml, the seek bar is staying on (with the radar etc) continuously, when playing a show.
Is it just me, or maybe I'm doing something wrong? This was happening on my previous beta 18 installs too (as well as on a CoreElec v9 nightlies), but thought I'd wait until I did a fresh install first before asking.

Sounds like an issue with the visibility conditions...but, I've just done a test with Estuary, and seems ok here (Leia RC5). I did fix up some spacing anyway, so maybe try this one:
