This may have to do with the way the disks were ripped, but I don't know how to tell.
I have Season 1 through 5 of the HBO show Dexter on DVD. Ripped the DVDs to ISO images on Linux using dvdbackup (with --error=b for single block skip) and then created the ISO using genisoimage. I can play the DVDs fine, so long as we don't use fast forward.
If you ever use fast forward the video continues to play in the faster forward speed until you kill the playback. After the fast forward the audio returns to normal, but is obviously desynchronized from the video.
Other movies that I have ripped using this same method work without this issue.
Anyone else seen this? How can I troubleshoot this?
