Just upgraded to Eden Beta from october nightlies. When I boot xbmc all of my NFS shares mount then fail after about 30 seconds. I've been running nfs off of WHS 2011 for some time now. I can't seem to figure out the issue.

tbh it looks like your nfs server isn't running...
Thats not it. All of the macs in my house are accessing the shares fine. The only thats has changed on my network is the xbmc upgrade.
Ok... I'm pretty positive its a bug with the beta.
I have 2 other ATV2's running on pre-eden from 10/16 Nightly with no NFS issues. I did a factory restore and fresh install of Eden Beta. NFS works for about 30 seconds, then it disconnects. The strange thing is that it starts working again after NFS goes idle and closes the connections. You can see all of this in the log i post at the end.
My setup is 3 ATV's running on MYSQL. I'm using WHS2011 as my server with built in NFS. My NFS share setting are..
- Everyone group has full control
- Kerberos V5 integrity and authentication Krb5i checked
- Kerberos V5 authentication Krb5 checked
- No server authentication checked with unmapped access by UID
- NFS permission are read/write with root access ANSI encoding

Just to test, I went back to a 12/2 nightly and NFS works fine. Upgraded to Eden Beta and NFS doesn't work again. Downgraded back to 12/2 and NFS is working again.
A five month old thread talking about a beta when we are now on Eden final?
Well I had the same issue with final that's why I was asking.
And it's not the first time a question/bug/problem gets forgotten/ignored completely.
Could also be that the reporter forgot to mention he got it fixed/solved by now.
Found a solution later this night with trial and error.
If someone is still intrested I could post it here when I get up after a short night of sleep.

I'd love an update. I was just reading about being "able" to do this and haven't been able to get it working. I have the same set up mentioned.

I can add the share as a source, but the directory either doesn't open, or shows no folders or media inside it.
well it works when you create a share outside the serverfolder on your WHS,
as soon as you add it to your whs shares it stops working
