Hi Guys,

I'm writing a mediainfo fetcher (yeah another one, but sick of most of them), so far everything is great, it gets all the fanart, nfo, theme.mp3, poster etc all in xbmc format.

but i cant get banner.jpg to work correctly. using confluence, in tv shows, it uses folder.jpg in wide icons view.

my file structure is like this
tv shows\[showname]\[season]\[episode].[videoext]
tv shows\[showname]\[season]\[episode].tbn
tv shows\[showname]\[season]\[episode].nfo
tv shows\[showname]\tvshow.nfo
tv shows\[showname]\season0[\d]+.tbn
tv shows\[showname]\season-all.tbn
tv shows\[showname]\poster.jpg
tv shows\[showname]\fanart.jpg
tv shows\[showname]\banner.jpg
tv shows\[showname]\theme.mp3
tv shows\[showname]\clearart.png
tv shows\[showname]\backdrop.jpg
tv shows\[showname]\logo.png
tv shows\[showname]\folder.jpg [same as poster.jpg]

i think that is all correct, but folder.jpg might be incorrect. how do you correctly set the banner and poster for tv shows.

by default, you can't.
xbmc only supports banner or poster, not both at the same time.
it will use 'folder.jpg' for both of them.

that being said, some skins (not including confluence) have implemented workarounds to differentiate between posters and banners.

oh bugger... is there a standard way skins differentiate between them, and if so is poster.jpg and banner.jpg the standard?
