As already mentioned, I also get "radio error" with most of my custom stations.

I've posted the Kodi log and my_stations.json at https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjBPRo9wXw9s7sMPU7sF...g?e=NBWqOG

Just tell me what I can do to help troubleshoot this.

I've updated my raspberry pi to latest LibreELEC(9.2.1) and kodi 18.6-Leia
This fresh install has the radio add-on but I can't get some stations to play. When I search for radioparadise it finds the station but playback results in an error.
That station has multiple different streams for different types of music and when I add them to the custom stations they result in playback errors too.

I used the kodi feature to post the debug log to http://ix.io/2iK9

Any ideas on what could cause this? I know the stream links are good. I'm currently listening to them on another pi/kodi with the radio add-on that hasn't been updated yet.

Thanks for all the time you put in on this.

Looks like this was a temporary failure of their server:

CCurlFile::Open failed with code 404 for http://stream.radioparadise.com/mp3-128:

Nothing I can solve unfortunately Smile

Unlike others posting, I thankfully have no issues with radio channels playing.
However, i do have a query - it's a bit a long-winded but bear with me!.

I am using libreelec 9.2.1 on a raspberry pi - where the only add on that I want is this Radio add-on.
Why - well because i want to give it to an elderly person as an internet radio connected to her stereo versus 3.5mm jack.
I have picked nine radio stations and added them to favourites.
In the "Startup" options, I have set "perform on startup"  to "Play Radio" and "Startup Window" to "home window"
where for my Home options i have specified only favourites (audio/video/music/weather etc are all hidden).
So, once the Kodi (libreelec) starts up, she is met with a home screen consisting of 9 radio stations - she need only select one and it plays - so all good.
Ideally it would be nice if one of the radio stations could start playing upon boot up but don't think that's possible.

For most stations when you click on them, you remain in the home screen and the in top right corner you see a blue play arrow and the name of the station. That is perfect.:-)
But then some stations, when you click on them, it brings you into a NEW screen specifically for that one radio station. :-(
It is confusing for her to know to select the Square button in the bottom left of the screen to get back to the list of favourite radio stations on the home screen.
So, my question, how do i stop a radio station opening it's own window? (the station in question is LMFM in Ireland!)
Thanks

That's kodi default behaviour - unfortunately you can't solve your use-case without patching kodi core itself.
My bet is that some of them are flagged as playlists and go though playlist player, leading to the behaviour you're seeing.
Hi,
    hope you can help me here.  I tried to listen to my favorite radio station today and noticed that it wasn't working.  Went back to the stations web site on my PC and it seemed to be ok.  Their url is https://14093.live.streamtheworld.com/2CA.mp3

I checked the kodi log and RADIO seemed to be pulling a different url for that station.   So I setup custom station using the new url above.  It didn't work either.  I have included the log dump of both situations.  Sorry but the log entries don't mean much to me.. B-(

Any help would great.

cheers

Failing for me on their website too, looks like their proxy is broken for that specific radio. Adding your provided mp3 url to "my stations" works though

Problem solved with the 3.0.3 update (I'm running 18.6).

Thanks for the great job!
Hi,

does anyone know if i can can start a radiostation out of my "Meine Sender" favorit list via JSON RPC API call directly?
Workaround would be to navigate via APi through the menus, but that is really a workaround an  error-prone.

Thanks

You can play any radio.xx station providing the id. Plugin paths are like this one (replace 4152 with the station id): plugin://plugin.audio.radio_de/station/4152 . This sort of url can be used in JSONRPC using the Player.Open methods.

You can also add your radio stations to favourites and have them being played that way (without having to browse the addon).
From favourites you can also make them skin shortcuts  Blush

Okay, it worked, but i could not find, why my KODI does not accept jsonrpc 6.0...?
OK:
json:
{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"Player.Open","params": { "item": { "file": "plugin://plugin.audio.radio_de/station/4284" } }, "id": 1}
NOK:
json:
{"jsonrpc":"6.0","method":"Player.Open","params": { "item": { "file": "plugin://plugin.audio.radio_de/station/4284" } }, "id": 1}
which results in:
json:
{
    "error": {
        "code": -32600,
        "message": "Invalid request."
    },
    "id": 1,
    "jsonrpc": "2.0"
}
please help,
I've updated my HTPC to Fedora 32 and they have removed Pythoin 2, a lot of add-ons stopped working but radio patch notes say
Quote:v3.0.0+matrix.1 (12/4/2020)
- [new] Python3 only version
so I hoped it would work but when I start the-add on I get the message that an Error has occurred and I should look in the logfile, the logfile says
https://paste.kodi.tv/umokodeqib.kodi
python3 urllib3 is installed on the system so I don't understand what's wrong, can anybody help?

I found a solution, it seems the xbmcswift2 version I had installed (13.0.0) was only working with python2 I've changed it to Version 2.5.1 and Radio works again.
