I was on 20.1 but rolled back to 18.9 for a number of reasons. I checked two systems I setup for clients and they both are running 19.5 with no issues. I think I'll give that a try and see what happens.
Kodi 20 has too many benefits for me to roll back for some radio shortcuts
On the flip side, 20.1 broke too many things for me, so I rolled all the way back to 18.9. At any rate, I installed 19.3. I have a few add-ons that surprisingly wouldn't install under 19.5, but do under 19.3. Anyway, the Radio add-on works perfectly under 19.3, including My Stations. Now I have to see if all my other add-ons work under 19.3. Some things I use that didn't work under 20.1:

-Weather add-on
-Transparency! skin (although technically it doesn't work under 19.x either, but there's a hack that fixes it). At this point, there are no other skins that suit my needs/preferences.
-When playing back an MKV file with chapters, 20.1 will not accurately skip to the correct chapter position. It always lands a few frames before. That makes a difference if
you've made a video of clips. Seeing the last few frames of the previous clips before your chosen one is jarring. All the previous versions work correctly.
-Settings for subtitles no longer includes color (this is a skin thing, not KODI, but it really doesn't make a difference either way -- it's still a failing).

There are a couple more but I can't think of them right now. Anyway, for now I can live with 19.3

Understand where you are coming from.

Just did a search for BBC Radio 1, found it, when I clicked on it to play, Kodi exited and I went to my devices home screen  No

Hopefully the developer may be able to have a look if they have the time.
Yeah, Radio sometimes does that. I don't think it's anything new.

As an example I use https://www.radio.de/s/bbcradio4.

- Call up the desired station in the browser
- call view page source text
- Ctrl+F on the keyboard (text search appears)
- enter the following text in the search:
Code:
"streams":[{"url":
- the following URL is your stream URL
- You will find a station logo in front of the entry for the stream URL
- a good choice is the logo with c300.png at the end

Result:
Enter the result into the radio add-on “My Stations”.

Done!

Thanks for this explanation.

The link for BBC radio 4 that you post above did not work. However, I followed your instructions, which resulted in me getting this link instead:

https://a.files.bbci.co.uk/ms6/live/3441...ourfm.m3u8

And that seems to work (for now)

I get the impression that they change it now and again. I don't know if this is to discourage people listening through third party apps.
A radio station I use has started hiccuping in Kodi using the radio add-on. The same stream plays fine when opened via VLC.

https://digitalstreams.mediaworks.nz/roc...ylist.m3u8

This seems to seems to play fine for anywhere up to a minute or so. But then it starts to hiccup around every 10 seconds. It just goes silent for a second and then picks right back up. Because it happens so rhythmically, I don't think it is a network or buffer issue.

Any suggestions what might fix this?
Hi,

I've observed recently that the stream URL returned by API for station rneradio3 (id: 4938) is https://crtve--di--crtve-ice--03--cdn.ca...n/mp3/high which is incorrect because it raises 404 error. Thus it is impossible to play this station on Kodi.
However on the website https://www.radio.fr/s/rneradio3 the correct URL (https://rtvelivestream.akamaized.net/rtv..._main.m3u8) is used and the radio is played.

Is there some cache for the API ? or maybe the stream URLs are different for API and website?
Hi,

my wife and I like this radio station: https://www.radio.de/s/radiof945

However, I don't even remember when it was last working on the Radio app - if it ever has.

I wanted to follow the guide to add the station manually, but the station's page source doesn't have a .m3u8 stream URL.
Instead, it looks like this: https://frontend.streamonkey.net/fhn-rad...or=radiode

The station works on the browser, so I guess the problem is with the Radio app, not the station itself.

What can I do to get the station working on the Radio app? Or is it a lost cause?

Thanks in advance!
Hello,
I may have a problem when using this radio addon, with a crash Kodi issue.
I post the detailed problem https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=376522
Is there a way to find a solution ?
Hello,

I searched in this thread but I couldn't find any answers about my next two questions. If I overlooked them, I apologize.
I use the latest Kodi available on Xbox Series X and my "problems" occur in several skins.

- How to prevent the addon go to blackscreen within seconds when playing a radiostream? When a new song starts the player shows itself again and disappears, but I want to have it on screen without going black.
- Is there a way to change the background for the addon Radio?

Kind regards,

Well, BBC radio 4 seems to be broken on the Radio Add-on again.

I tried using the method above again, but unfortunately without any success (the suggested search term doesn't bring anything up).

Yes, it looks like changes have been made to the "Radio" website.

The new search term is now:
Code:
"hasValidStreams\":true,\"streams\":[{\"url\":
Then you should get the correct URL again.
Any chance this addon will be fixed or is the dev not updating it anymore?
Radio 1, 2 and 4 don't play or crash Kodi
Hi,
why some stations play via web without problem etc.:
https://uk.radio.net/s/ceskyrozhlasjazz
but in KODI plugin won't play?
