Hello.
Sorry for the question, it has probably been asked, but I didn't find the answer among the 56 pages of the thread !!!
How to install the Radio.de by Fivebanger ?
I downloaded the zip file, unzipped it, but I don't know how to install !!!
Any help welcome !
Fabrice, from France.
Did you install fivebanger's repository?
repository.fivebanger.zip
You can also ask Perplexityl.ai:
How do I install addons in Kodi?
Good Evening Charles.
I didn't install fivebanger's repository yet, but I'll do it tomorrow.
Of course, I'm used to install Kodi's add-ons using the internal tool, but not from a downloaded file.
Do I need to remove Kodi's "Radio" add-on before installing fivebanger's add-on ?
Greetings.
Fabrice.

Removal is optional but that add-on is dead. Get rid of it.
Good Evening.
I installed fivebanger's repository and was able to install radio.de extension.
It works fine now.
Is there an easy way to associate my old "favorites" to the new radio.de extension ?
They are still associated to the "Radio" extension, and the address of some audio streams is unknown of both extensions.
I had to add the address of the stream in the json file of "Radio", because these "local" radios are not found with the "Search" function.

Not that I know of. Once I got rid of the (orphan) old radio add-on, I went into the radio.de add-on and set up My Stations from scratch.
I also periodically back up the
/Userdata/addon_data/plugin.audio.radiode/.radiode/stations.jsn file to a
/Backup/stations.jsn file and also some external storage.
OK.
Is this file the main file including the favorites ?

The
/Userdata/addon_data/plugin.audio.radiode/.radiode/stations.jsn file is a JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) file containing the My Stations list.
To make it a bit easier, I've added links to the @
fivebanger version of the addon and repo to the first post of the thread.
Trying to get the attention of @
fivebanger to make a GitHub Pages page specifically made for repositories; usually {username}.GitHub(dot)io ...
The suggested methods are either loading with usb storage or typing links into the file manager which doesn’t work with GitHub repo’s unless it’s the specific Pages variety.
there is documentation at docs/github/com/en/pages
@fivebanger:
Thanxeversomuch for radio.de.
I have come to rely on it.
Appreciate your hard work.
kudos!

Can all the above changes/fixes for the Radio addon also be published to the official Kodi Repo please?
That would be much more convenient using the auto update.
Thanks.

Not all German radio stations work with firebanger's repo:
Try BR24 (others don't work too, but I've also found working stations)
However, they do work through the website
www.radio.de!!!
Error
[Radio.de] play error BR24, id: br24, url: None

Hi,
thank you for the addon, which basically works. Well, I come from LMS and I am really missing the current song information in the now playing screen. I just see the background of radio.de and the stations logo.
I tried already different skins and other plugin, and I feel desperate to continue, everything I touch doesn't work. Could someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks a lot
steve
