I came across a Sony PCV-RZ 44G desktop machine that once upon a time ran Windows Media Center. I thought it would be a good time to install XBMCLive and turn this into a spectacular system.
So, start the installation, and the first that I notice is that network interface is not recognized. It is an Intel interface, but I figured that I was square that way later on. Finally get XBMC install, and although I get a splash screen, I drop back to the command line log in. I am not sure if that is the way that was suppose to play out, but again, still not a big deal.
When I do an startx, X falls apart and back to command line.
Before I start putting some effort in trying to solve issues, I am wondering if anyone has ever installed XBMCLive on the Sony?
