Okay, I'm new here

A friend and I just installed live on a new machine an I am having some major problems with it.

XBMC crashes and restarts when I press info on any of my TV shows or switch to a different layout for any media. I thought it might be the skin I was using, but it does it on Confluence as well.

It is also having problems recognizing some media in a folder, yet is able to recognize other media in the same folder. All of my files were recognized on another machine, so it has nothing to do with the naming or filing of files. I can get it to recognize some files if I move them into another directory. It just doesn't want to see or update from the original directory.

And no the box isn't checked next to skip this folder.

Can anyone help me?

I'd guess the problem is:

ERROR: SQL: The database disk image is malformed

Try going into your userdata directory (http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Userdata) and deleting the directory called Database. When you next run XBMC it will recreate a new empty database.

same issues here, I don't have enough time to enable the debug log, XBMC just restarts to the main Apple menu without doing anything.

Please pop the (non-debug) xbmc.log on http://pastebin.com/ for us to have a look at.
