This is my first jailbreak, and i dont really understand much of these commands to install xbmc so if there is another way to get it to work a detailed description would be nice...
Yes, some info about what is going on would be nice. So we know what to expect and what to do and maybe even when to do it.
Though, my guess is that all servers are on heavy load but as I mentioned, I donĀ“t know cause the is no info.
Finnaly made the apt-get update. I think. I got 100% but got an error message. Tried
apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2 but i fails too.
Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?
Failed to fetch

Got it!
Just kept on trying. I now have xbmc on my atv2!
Sorry, yeah, for a fresh install my instructions won't work. It should eventually resolve itself if it hasn't already.

Your instructions did work for a fresh install on 2 ATVs in my posession today, except for changing one line (in revision
bold below):
All - Before wget command, don't forget "apt-get install wget" (without quotes).
Thank You.
apt-get install will install a repo version (which was down last night) rather than the manually downloaded file.
got the same error..when ruining apt-get update - does this need to be run...
these commands ran ok
apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2
apt-get install wget
so does this mean i cant install XBMC
Depends on the error. It might error out for some other package/software that XBMC doesn't need, or it might error out before getting to XBMC's repo. Tell us what it said in the SSH session.
Still works great for me. Our wiki instructions are going to be more up to date than anyone else, and if it took a long time then that's probably just a server running a little slow that day. We don't do xbmchub support here, but those are just add-ons for XBMC and nothing more.
