The biggest one I can think of is support for gfx card hardware acceleration DXVA2 for windows 7... means the graphics get offloaded to the graphic card while your CPU relaxes with calls to drives and ram. I'm sure there's quite a few other things .. like the ease at flipping display between TV and PC.. 4gig cap.. well not much.

If we're down to that.... XBMC and openelec would be my choice. Hang the XP disk.. in a few months, their will be clear-outs as win/8 hits the fan.
