Hi,

When i hit "Reboot" from the xbmc menu xbmc shuts down and i go straight to the ubuntu login screen, without any reboot action.

What could be causing this, is it an known issue?

if it makes any difference between suspend and power off, it does the exact same thing.

I guess my xbmc user does not have access to shut down the system, not sure how this happened, any linux people have ideas? im a newb.

Never mind, solved... since i had root user logged onto ftp xbmc user didnt have access to shut the system down.

Sounds like something that can be tuned in the policykit config files. Havent looked into that in Eden yet but since I run a remote desktop in the background I had to do some editing in Dharma.
