hi guys,

i'm trying to find an rss feed from this link:-

http://www.desitvforum.net/forum/externa...rumids=637

XBMC Won't let me enter it as it is.....How do i extract and how do i enter it?

Thanks
bump!
I can't see an RSS feed anywhere on that web page.

JR
thats what i was wondering too mate.

Below you will find the parent link...from there i click on the orange RSS icon and that gave me the link i provided in the previous post:-

http://www.desitvforum.net/forum/star-plus/

Are they using some sort of hidden rss links? What can i do to find it?
For me the resulting page looks like a rss feed.

See here the result i got: http://pastebin.com/YNqaUrkM
I was able to type the link in the first post into XBMC, and it worked just fine...
thanks guys

@ scudlee - its nice to know that you got the link working, but i'd be grateful if you could share where you exactly went in xbmc and if you changed any of the link at all...are you using an rss plugin or the standard manual entry via the "add video"? The first link i posted also does not end with a .xml, so how did you enter it? Also i can only type 3/4 of the length of the address, after which xbmc won't let me type further...so how did you manage to get around that?

Sorry, but its my first time and i've never used rss before.
Sorry, we were talking at cross-purposes. Ignore me.
ok mate.

I used another site and managed to get a list of tv shows in xbmc. But when i chose any of the files to play, i got the error:-

"PLAYBACK FAILED - one of more items failed to play. Check the log file for details".

Here is the log file:-

Bump!
This won't work.

The items in this rss feeds are pointing to websites - not video files.
right, i see, thanks very much for confirming this. If i can't use this rss feed, then is it possible to have a specific user's youtube feed instead? For example i want the feed from:-

http://www.youtube.com/starplus
You can login to youtube using your browser and subscribe to this feed.
Then you can login to your youtube account using the youtube addon and you will see all your subscriptions there.
ahh right! cool...i'll give it a try and let you know how i get on...thanks very much!

Oh btw, i'd be grateful if you know of any answer and can also help me with this issue:-

Thanks again
just to update...thanks very much sphere. This works perfect.

However the only issue i have is that one of the users i want to subscribe to only provides links (people without the link, can't see it).

Is there a way i can manually add the link, so that we can watch the videos? i.e, is there a file i can edit manually which then i can constantly update with the latest links?

thanks again!

EDIT: PLEASE IGNORE THE ABOVE! I HAVE SOLVED THE MANUAL ADDING OF LINKS, MY SIMPLY ADDING ANY YOUTUBE LINKS TO MY FAVOURITES
